Nursing Satisfaction Survey   In the spring of 2007, the Idaho Nursing Workforce Center undertook a survey of all licensed RNs in Idaho, in order to obtain information related to job satisfaction and RN intent to stay in their jobs, as well as to learn more about RNs who are licensed but not currently working in nursing-related jobs.

Idaho Nursing Program Results  This report is a follow-up to a report on nursing education in Idaho. 

Results of a Community-Based Care Survey  In November 2007, this report was developed as an update to the 2006 survey of employers of nurses to better understand nurse vacancy and turnover rates by employer type and to create a projection of the number and types of nurses that would be needed in the coming year.

 Job Satisfaction in Nursing: The State of the Art: Presented at a national meeting of nursing workforce centers in April 2006, this PowerPoint outlines the results of a literature review regarding nurse satisfaction.  It explores the variables impacting job satisfaction.

Condition Critical - Who Will Provide Your Nursing Care in Idaho? This white paper was prepared by The Idaho Commission on Nursing in response to House Bill Concurrent Resolution 58. This paper is intended to provide an overview of Idaho's nursing workforce and education programs.

 

Data Reports from 2006

Idaho Acute Care Nursing Workforce in Idaho:  In August, 2005, a survey was conducted addresses the nursing shortages in Idaho's hospitals.  It includes information on recruitment and retention strategies, the consequences of the shortage on staff, and differences/similarities in rural and metro hospitals. 

 Idaho Nursing Program Survey:  A survey of directors of nursing programs in September 2005 describes nursing education in Idaho.
