Idaho Nursing Workforce Advisory Council Executive Summary

In January 2009 ,the Idaho Department of Labor published the final report and recommendations of the Idaho Nursing Workforce Advisory Council.The Council was formed through enabling legislation to identify issues surrounding the nurse work force shortage and to advise the Governor, Board of Education , legislators and other policy makers on solutions. The Council was funded through June, 2009. The executive summary is available through this link to the Department of Labor website:

Nursing Satisfaction SurveyLinkClick.aspx   In the spring of 2007, the Idaho Nursing Workforce Center undertook a survey of all licensed RNs in Idaho, in order to obtain information related to job satisfaction and RN intent to stay in their jobs, as well as to learn more about RNs who are licensed but not currently working in nursing-related jobs.
