The Council of Nurse Educator Leaders (CNEL) is a voluntary organization which brings together the chief nurse administrators from each of the nursing education programs in Idaho in order to strengthen liasons among the programs and with nursing practice and research.
CNEL serves as a network representing all of the Idaho nursing education programs, both public and private. The main purposes include enhanced communication between programs, strengthening liasons among programs and across nursing practice and education, as well as facilitating articulation of Idaho’s nurses from one level of education to the next.
The Council meets monthly via telephone conference and face to face at the Idaho Nurse Educator Conference held in the Spring of each year. The current CNEL president is Ms Valerie Warner, College of Southern Idaho.
